Propaganda Posters

 Kia ora bloggers,

How's the new term going? Mine is going great.

We're learning about how governments used to get people to join the army during wartime; They often used posters. Our research culminated in us making one of our own. This is mine. Please tell me what you think.

Blitzkrieg

 A New Term! Awesome!

And this terms inquiry topic is war. Even more awesome! We've been learning about Blitzkrieg, a WWII German attack method. It translates to 'lightning warfare' - an apt description, as it is about five times faster than the strategies used in WWI - with it, the German army travelled what the French estimated would take fourteen days in only three.

The strategy uses a spearhead of fast, powerful units, such as tanks, planes, and mechanised infantry, on a very narrow front, to break through the enemies front lines and cause disorganisation. Using Blitzkrieg also reduces infantry and artillery casualties, as most of the enemy's forces would be concentrated in the front line.
